One of the most important services that Sunrise Corrosion provides is training the installation contractors. The concrete restoration contractor you hire will ultimately end up installing the cathodic protection system. There are many phases in a restoration project and experience shows that empowering the contractors to install the system is the most efficient method.

This training allows contractors the opportunity to manage their time, resources, and equipment in conjunction with other aspects of the restoration work, thereby facilitating on time and on budget project completion. Sunrise Corrosion is very proactive in training the contractor early in the process; disseminating knowledge about the cp system implementation and phasing with other steps of the project.

Cable Labeling - A vital part of system installation

It may seem obvious but the need for proper labeling of any system is vital. Simply put, traceability is key! Unfortunately, not all suppliers would spend the time to perform this important task. Over time, we have encountered many a tangled mess of wires and cables with no labeling, hand written labels or barely legible symbols.

Ensuring that system components are specifically identifiable ((ie. anode wire to balconies 706 through 206 shown above) enables potential issues to be tracked down and resolved with speed and accuracy. At Sunrise Corrosion, a NACE certified team member incorporates this type of structure specific detail into the cathodic protection package. During installation, we carefully brief the contractor on this requirement and ensure they follow up with checks throughout the process and then again at the time of commissioning. We ensure labeling is done with proper equipment and that the information is in a visible location on the wire, not buried in the wiring harness. Photographs are used to document and ensure the specification is followed as part of the technical service effort.

Although the condominium owner will likely never see this part of the system, attention to small details ensure a successful installation. Sunrise Corrosion demands this level of commitment.
